I don't know which was scarier...
Oct. 21st, 2004 08:07 pmSo, this afternoon, after an entire afternoon of business meetings-- I shall never understand how just sitting on one's arse for hours on end can be more exhausting than a long slog through hard code-- I picked up Omaha and Kouryou-chan in order to give Omaha a ride to her evening class.
And as we're driving up to Seattle, I hear Kouryou-chan, the four-year-old, say in a loud voice, "Mom, can I set fire to my bed?"
"What?" Omaha and I say in unison. She turns around to look, and Kouryou-chan is giggling madly. "Oh," says Omaha. "She's reading a book. It's Calvin and Hobbes."
Oh, sure, that's all right then.
