Evolution 2.0, and just who is shrill?
Oct. 21st, 2004 11:23 amSo, last night, I installed Evolution 2.0.2 on my laptop, despite copious warnings from Gentoo that it was bloated and unreliable. As it turned out, it was neither; it is smaller and lighter, faster and more reliable than the 1.4 edition. And the spamcatcher is significantly more reliable. I've gotten less spam than usual in my inbox, and after running the spam filter on what was left, it's proven to be 96.8% effective at trapping the rest. Rock on!
Pat Robertson has been all over the press recently with his claim that Bush assured him in 2001 that "There wouldn't be any U.S. casualties" during the occupation of Iraq. Well now, Pat also says that it was The Lord Thy God who told him that Bush was wrong, that it was going to be messy and ultimately a disaster for the United States.
Wait... God is shrill?

Frankly, the concept of the Almighty being driven mad for any reason - much less the mendacity, malevolence, incompetence, and simple disconnection from reality of the George W. Bush administration - scares us quite a lot. And we don't scare easily.
