1. How much TV do you watch?

About two hours a week, if I'm lucky.

2. What is your favorite type of programming?

Mahou bishoujo anime.

3. What is your favorite TV show?

Of all time? I'm ashamed to admit that it's either Space: 1999 or James Burke's Connections. I grew up in that awkward era after Star Trek had been cancelled but before Battlestar Galactica hit the screens. Space: 1999 was compelling SFnal TV: people died of vacuum exposure and shuttlecraft weren't just airplanes in space. Connections, on the other hand, showed me why both science and history were fun and exciting, and it was possible to be compelling at both.

Right now? I'm, uh, between shows.

4. Do you watch a TV show from beginning to end, or are you a flipper?

Once I've settled on a TV show I like, I'll watch it all the way through.

5. Could you give up TV for a month?

Oh, easily. I frequently have.

A book you have that nobody else on your Friends list has?

Will I Like It? Extremely rare third book after Where Did I Come From and What's Happening To Me. The latter two were books for kids on where babies come from and what puberty is all about; very 70s, somewhat naive. The third book is about losing your virginity; unlike the first two, it was never very popular with its intended audience-- kids could not buy it and parents would not.

A movie/DVD you have that nobody else on your Friends list has?

Powaaqatsi, the less-than-stellar sequel to Koyaanisqatsi. I bought it because I had the first. I think I've watched it once.

A CD/album/music recording you have that nobody else on your Friends list has?

Prayer and Salvation, dance remixes of Ryuichi Sakamoto's first classical piece, Discord.

A game you have that nobody else on your Friends list has?

Ogre/GEV: Icecaps. Probably because there were less than 200 copies printed.

A place you have been that nobody else on your Friends list has?

Grisdale, Washington. Either that, or the steam tunnels under Pottstown, PA.

I'm in the process of downloading Connections1. Did you know it was out there?

I haven't checked for Space: 1999. That might be fun. :)

What is Mahou?

I loved "Connections" when it was on, but wasn't very enthusiastic about its sequelae. "Space:1999" was a great premise and a very nicely done series. Of course, it got silly towards the end of its run (although you have to admit Catherine Schell was hot).

Was that Space 1999 - Above and Beyond??

I wish they would run it's short series (it survived what, 1.5 seasons?) somewhere...
