Maybe Loki was on to something

Omaha wolunteered at a voter registration booth this weekend. It was hosted at the SeaTac City annual Festival. The weather was rainy and sad, and there weren't that many people who showed up.
Of those that did, most declined to register vote. Most said they didn't believe their vote made a difference, and one said it succinctly: "All of the important decisions are already made for me."

And the remainder of the wolves simply don't give a dang about those willing to give up all that they are without a fight. Those disinterested are more concerned about the other wolves threatening them than the sheep.

Continual hounding isn't as effective as paying a lobbyist to bribe an intern to slip your legislation into a bill the legislators aren't going to read and are going to vote yes on.
And by and large the voters come out on the issues and candidates that don't make a difference. Take the recent NC primaries and amendment one. For most of the precincts the voters were there to vote yes on amendment one and had zero clue on anyone else on the ballot.
