A witch in Richmond, has sued her local city government for the right to lead opening council prayers. The council is arguing that it has the right to restrict prayers to those traditions "tacitly acknowledged and widely held," i.e. Christianity.
The Gulfport, Mississippi, city council has voted to condemn the U.S. Supreme Court for the Lawrence v. Texas ruling. The councilman who introduced the proposal is either a hoot or infuriating, depending upon your mood.
