Well, it was a rough day. Most of it is friends-locked, but I can talk about the other stuff. I learned what the commute between here and Bellevue Transit is like: the answer is, the same as the commute between here and Seattle, only warmer. The 560 goes straight from the P&R to the city, with no transfers; that beats the 121/18 with a ten minute wait in the frozen cold outside the Seattle Art Museum. Total transit time, about 70 minutes. 55 of that inside a bus that's relatively uncrowded. The only nuisance? The centuries-unbathed woman who kept saying quietly, "I'm homeless. Okay if I sit here?" over and over.

I wrote 2000 words today. Mostly on a story I don't mostly care for, but one that I promised myself I would finish, come Hell or high water, so that's what I wrote. It's a Journal Entry, but there ain't nothing wrong with that.

Scratch that. I wrote 4000 words today, but half of them went into the locked post. So you see (or not) my dilemma.

Omaha and I had dinner over with Lisa. It was a lovely meal, full of meat. We admired her plants (dammit, her tomatoes are growing taller than mine! But I've already got tomato buds!). I got home and remembered to water the basil, which is doing much better now that the slug trap is starting to slay in large numbers.

If you're in the mood for a possibly NSFW video from Gillette that is uncomfortably hilarious, you could watch this ad that unfortunately gives away one of my ancient secrets: When there's no underbrush, the tree looks taller.

While discussing ancient secrets, I'll also point you to one of my guilty vices. (This is either a "you get or you don't" site, and if you do, prepare to waste hours.)
