Sunday: Domesticity and Yardwork

Omaha and I spent most of the day outside, weeding, trimming, raking, that kind of stuff. We can now see the boundary between the cement porch and the lawn, and the front yard has now been mowed and cleaned as well.

Never buy a cheap pressure washer. The one I bought last summer has already started to leak badly, although it still does the washing okay. This one is a Husky 1400 from Home Depot, and man, googling for this thing shows that a lot of people hate it. It's a rip.

No dramatic cooking today at all. Really. The most advanced thing I made all day was a shandy. Also, very little geekery. I tried to avoid the computer a lot, although I still hit the news button from time to time. A bad habit.

Kouryou-chan and I rode to the grocery store for ice cream sandwiches.

I read a lot more of Before they are Hanged. I'm halfway through the trilogy. This is not one of those book where I think to myself, "I can do better." That's a good book.

A finished a story, too. Moved it into the "Completed" category, where it goes to wait with other stories. I've been spending the evening working on "stuck" stories, since Kouryou-chan's in bed and Omaha's at some political thing.
