I never made it in to work this day. I had an appointment this morning at ten that was supposed to take only an hour. By the time Omaha and I were done, it was nearly one in the afternoon, and then I couldn't find any parking at all near the office. Exhausted but reassured (the meeting went very well, thank you, and really was more fun than it deserved to be) I took the car in for its semi-annual exhaust inspection as required, then went home.
Kouryou-chan and I walked up to the bus stop to pick up Yamaraashi-chan and I let them play at the park for a while. I had a lovely chat with another woman whose own kids were running around. She had a girl Kouryou-chan's age and a toddler boy, 26 months I think she said. The boy gravitated toward me; his mother said, "He loves having other guys around." The girl gravitated toward Kouryou-chan, and she explained that "She wants a sister so bad, so she attaches herself to every girl she meets."
We had the usual Monday evening run-around (Kouryou-chan to dance class, get dinner, that kind of thing), and I've had the worst headache all day. I made tortellini and home-made marinara sauce, very yummy. And now it's time to get the girls to brush their teeth.
