Feb. 16th, 2006 08:57 amThere's some whacked-out Christian fundamentalist whose been haunting the secular newsgroups of Usenet, posting whatever screeds he can find on the Web and generally making a nuisance of himself. Today, he found this utterly priceless gem from Sandra Miesel:
Science fiction has been softening people up on non-monogamous, sexually fluid "marriage" for decades--Heinlein, Delany, and John Varley come to mind. Samuel R. Delany actually lived the scenario. Married at 17. Big advocate of "triple relationships" including pedophilia. Eventually he and his wife split to both go gay and he's now an advocate of S&M. But he's a multi-award-winning prof with a named chair at U MASS Amherst, despite having no more than a high school degree, and you and I are not.
