This afternoon, on the bus ride home from the office, I took some off my writing. Instead, I read Joseph Bean's
Flogging, a nifty little how-to manual on the art of science of flogging. It reminds me that in my domesticity, I have neglected my flagellery. Some of the implements in there are precious to me. Tomorrow, I shall stop and buy saddle soap and hard lanolin and spend a while cleaning my toys.
And then I really,
really feel the need to use them on someone!
