Poor Kouryou-chan
May. 26th, 2004 11:37 amWell, yesterday I was supposed to pick up Yamaarashi-chan, but it didn't happen. Her mother was running an hour late; she called to tell me this as I was already on my way over there. I had family plans for the evening that couldn't be moved about, so we ended up rescheduling for Thursday.
I got home, picked up the rest of the family, picked up my friend Peter from the business convention he's visiting, and we all went out to The Spaghetti Factory. It was good to see Peter, even though he was up a few weeks ago.
Pour Kouryou-chan, though. You know how kids-- heck, anyone-- starts to learn something when it's important to them that they do so? Kouryou-chan mastered the days of the week specifically so she would know on what days her sister would visit. "It's Monday-- that means tomorrow Yamaarashi is coming!" She was so upset when she learned that Yamaarashi-chan wouldn't be over. Poor little girl.
And damn Tron. I'm in one of those Boss levels (have I revealed just how much I hate boss levels? They're boring and pointless, not forwarding the narrative at all, and it's essentially die- do over- die- do over until you "get it right." Can't stand them) and the game keeps crashing. It's the first major bug I've found in the game and it's totally reproducible. Grr...
