Well, the Patriots won the Super Bowl
Feb. 1st, 2004 08:47 pmAnd we actually watched it,
omahas,
shaterri, and I. It was about all I had the braincells for after a day of cleaning house, including running out for the monthly warehouse shopping run. Kouryou-chan was pretty good about the whole trip, a little restless towards the end, but she managed to make it through the whole day without getting into too much trouble. Omaha put her hair up in pigtails and she looks adorable. She's also addicted to that "Smack the Penguin" game that
technoshaman pointed out a couple days ago in his journal.
I'm pleased to see that the new Journal Entry went up without a problem. That's one of those smack-the-head "DUH!" moments that I wish I had more often. I've had code to display the stories in the order in which they were printed for years, which means that the story database has the publication date, but it never occurred to me that I could also exclude stories from view based on the notion that their publication date is sometime in the future. It was two freakin' lines of code! DUH. Silly Elf. Silly, silly Elf. And it's not that I don't have the stories written on time. It's frequently more like I forget to post them. I'm the world's worst procrastinator. If it's not mission-critical, "I'll get around to it later," I tend to forget about it.
