Comment about Lawrence v. Texas

I just noticed that Scalia mentioned, in his dissent, that "laws governing bigamy, same-sex marriage, adult incest, prostitution, masturbation, adultery, fornication, bestiality, and obscenity" would be made vulnerable to constitutional challenge.

Since when are there laws against masturbation? I mean, how would you know? Do parents turn their kids into the cops? "Officer Jones, my son is in violation of RSC 06.01, clause 6: private masturbation, and I want him arrested immediately"?

Schedules

It's starting to look like October's filling up already. Omaha's already opened up dates on the 4th and 11th, making those days when I have to be hanging out with the kids, and we're reserving Wednesdays for each other now, since we haven't had enough time for each other. But, still, trying to be poly and social and all that with two kids is, well, complicated.

Physical Therapy and the Friday Five

I went to the pool this morning and spent the full half hour in the pool. Unfortunately, I only mananged to make it about 450 meters in that time. I used to be able to do 3½ klicks in an hour-- now I can't even manange one-third of that! According to the charts, I burned 400 calories in that time, though. Not too bad, I suppose. Definitely kept my heart rate in the aerobic target zone all that time.

The pool was cooler this time. There are six lanes, and 2 through 6 were filled with general public swimmers. One was filled with a dozen high school kids, ten boys and two girls, all practicing for water polo. I wonder if I could ever have a body as lean and trim as those. I'm tired of feeling lazy.

When I got out to go rinse off, there was one other fellow in there who talked to me while I was in there, but shut up the second a third man walked in. He was lean, covered in body hair, and-- I couldn't help but notice while he showered off-- well hung. His kit was on the bench opposite mine and he had more creams and moisturizers than my mom.

I also noticed that I was the only person there who put a water bottle at the end of his lane. I wondered if that was weird or somehow wrong. I was exercising, and I wasn't about to swallow the pool water, at least not deliberately. Don't I need water when I'm working out, even in a swimming pool?

Driving to work afterwards, I was woried that I might be a bit dizzy. I still felt the nausea, as bad as the last couple of times. I managed to get in by seven, but my brain has been fuzzy most of the morning.
