This is more than a sniffle.

I'm currently running a fever of 101.6F. I called in sick to work when the alarm went off and slept straight through until 1pm. This is not good; I'm on a very tight deadline at work and nobody there knows what I know about the system I'm working on.

I think I have the flu.

I made myself a tuna fish and onion sandwich. I had to work extra hard to not cut myself with the knife when I diced the onions-- I'm really out of it. But now that I've eaten it, I'm going back to bed. Maybe I'll take a shower first-- omahas says I don't smell very good.
