Come on in! (part 1 of many)

I am a Linux geek. No, reparse. I am a Unix geek. If I could run FreeBSD on my laptop and get the features I wanted, I would in a heartbeat. Sadly, I can't get the features out of FreeBSD, nor do I have the spare lifetime to go about modifying FreeBSD to support the audio chipset in my Thinkpad 600E, the power-saver modes, the wireless network card, and the hibernation feature. I'd like to. Anyone got a few million so they can set me up for life and give me all the time to write, hack, and care for my family that I'd want?
