Progress, Friday Five

elfsI decided to keep track of my writing progress on Bridges of Stone to see how I did. Here's the week so far:
I'm probably not going to get any writing done on Friday. Between work, picking up Yamaarashi-chan, and an afternoon company meeting there's no way I'm going to have time to write. But that's about 2,000 words a day. Not bad at all. If I could maintain that rate indefinitely, I could write a novel every three months and have three months to edit/rewrite/refine.
That is, of course, if I could get a novel-sized idea in my head and hold onto it for that long.
And now, The Friday Five
1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?
Student housing at Southgate. Mos Eisley 1. Mos Eisley 2. The Tiny Place. The Place by the Steel Plant. The Battlefield of the Ants.
That's six.
2. Which was your favorite and why?
The current one. I mean, I was pretty happy in all of them. I hate moving. But I'm happy where I am now. So it's my favorite.
3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?
Always stressful.
4. What's more important, location or price?
Location more than price, but you pay for location just like everything else.
5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?
A yard for the kids, enough power for every device in the house, good sound insulation, great water pressure and plenty of hot water for showers and tubs. A hot tub would be wonderful. Flat-panel monitors in every room, with a decent network hub in the basement. A big kitchen with a high ceiling.
Time to cook.
And if you're curious why my mood is set to "nervous," well, let's just say that there's that all-company meeting this afternoon. I'm hoping for no surprises.
