Kouryou-chan, the three year old, is doing very well. Her burn is going away. There's going to be a slight scar on the palm, but otherwise she's doing just fine.

This morning, she comes toddling out of the bedroom. "I woke up and you guys weren't there," she said, then crawled into my lap and asked me to hold her. After a few minutes, she said, "I have thoughts in my head."

"What are they doing?" I asked.

"They're changing into ideas."

Unfortunately, we lost touch about the time he got married. I think this has something to do with it, but I could forward an email address to his brother or something... apparently he still talks to his male friends. :(

Well, I cherry-pick her comments. This is the same little person who becomes an absolutely horrible little monster when a cold takes her. It's comments like the one I quoted that give me those little doses of parental serotonin and keep me from drowning her when she's like that. Fortunately, her bad days are actually really rare.

And, sigh, I wish I was as camera-friendly as she was.
