That's certainly bizarre enough; the English lyrics are at least intended to be a proper translation of the Russian, as opposed to something like this video, a performance by 'Ghengis Khan', a '70s German group, and then subtitled with lyrics 'translated' for humor as mondegreens of the German lyrics.
