Sunday, with more runaround...

elfsSunday we awoke to more of the same. I made a quick breakfast of split muffins with eggs, cheese, and in my case sausage, and then we were again out the door, this time for the monthly grocery run. That done, we ran over to Ikea, where Omaha and I scouted out furniture for a project she has in mind, and then we bought the Christmas tree and piled that on the roof of the car. Somewhere in there, we ate Ikea's Swedish meatballs for lunch, which, now that I've cooked my own, I have to say that Ikea's are very bready and mealy, not that good after all.
We got home and did a frenzy of putting stuff away before heading out to the weekly D&D game. This was the monthly session we hold at D20, the gaming store next door. That place is nice. They finally got their beer & wine license, although only in small amount "suitable to a snack bar." To go along with that, they were required to put up a sign in the bathroom warning you that "Alchohol and Pregnancy Do Not Mix!" The little 6"x8" poster comes with an outline drawing of a woman's bulging body with an outline of a fetus within; someone had drawn devil's horns on the fetus. The bathroom also has a 6x8 picture of Wash from Firefly, with the words "Your Hands" underneath. Cute.
Other things I noticed: My player's handbook says the Orc god is "lawful evil," but has "influence over the domain of Chaos." I have a first printing of the rulebook; the other two player's handbooks say he is "chaotic evil." Fascinating.
Also, the drop shadows on the cover art for a box of Keebler Town House Crackers are hideously inconsistent.
We ate and drank poorly, had a good time, and headed home for more of the usual bedtime routine.
