Although I object to a couple of things: we don't use Perl much anymore. Try Python, or Ruby. (This infographic was obviously put together by a Trendy Designer Type.) Developers are just as scared of fixed-price billing.

I do own, and like, even prefer, cargo pants.

At the same time, since leaving high school, I've noticed that nerds not only don't have much trouble getting laid (myself included), but they're also huge perverts. I swear that the BDSM/nerd overlap is about 50-50 - ie, that about 50% of nerds are in the BDSM scene and 50% of the bdsm scene are nerds.

I have a BenQ X-touch keyboard (likewise discontinued, but much more recent), both at work and at home. I swear I can type at least 15% faster on these than normal "squishy" keyboards. No, work did not compensate me for the keyboard, and neither would I expect them to. When I go, the keyboard comes with me.

BDSM is a distinctly nerdy hobby. It (can) involve lots of hardware, lots of thinking, and lots of organization. It combines intelligence, obsession, and a certain amount of social eptitude, at least within its own milieu.

I had one of those, but it died. I'm using a next-gen Lenovo, but it's not the same. At least it has more tactility than your standard. I wish the MS Internet Keyboard Pro came in a USB edition; I would totally use that.
