Wow, so that's what being a slug feels like...

Since Omaha's out of town and Kouryou-chan has been feeling neglected in the whirlwind hyperrapid pace of life, I decided to take her to her favorite restaurant, the burger joint next to the Coldstone Ice Creamery. I can't remember the last time I ate so much fat in one sitting, but man, it must have congealed in my brain and bloodstream because today I can barely move.

But Kouryou-chan had a good time. We all miss Omaha, and can't wait until she gets home tomorrow.

I can no longer restrain my curiosity. Kouryou-chan and Y-chan... are those really their names, or pseudonyms to protect their privacy?

Pseudonyms. Yamaraashi-chan has her own Facebook account, under her real name, and she's an intrepid poster there, as you would expect of a 13-year-old with her own laptop. I suppose I could use her real name here, but when they were younger anyone using the '-chan' names was to be suspect as someone who knew them only from reading LJ.

But that's what I've been using forever, and it retains some consistency. Just like I've never changed my LJ avatar.

I didn't think you'd use their real names until they turned 18. I figured I'd find out their names when you introduced me to your family in person. Since we live a continent apart, I don't expect that to be any time soon, if ever. Since the alternative (trying to find specific 13-year-old girls from the Seattle area on Facebook when armed only with pictures and a last name) is a bit/a lot creepy, I'll stick by my original plan.
