I'm a 90 pound weakling!
Jul. 20th, 2010 09:14 amToday's exercise regime was plyometrics: broad leg movements that include squats and jumping. Surprisingly, my physiotherapist commends this: my sense of balance is terrible, and if I do the form correctly it won't hurt my knees.
The routine is 55 minutes long; I lasted less than half that, about 25, before I just collapsed, unable to go on. It took me 30 minutes after that to fully recover my wits. Still, for 25 minutes I kept my heart rate between 165 and 175, with 180 being the upper maximum for a man my age. For some reason, although there was no armwork at all, my arms are aching. I also think there's a slight pull over the right groin, but that may be a leftover from yesterday's abdominals.
That was exhausting. Grief, I want a better body, but...
