Shopping with Yamaraashi-chan

Yamaraashi-chan and old glasses

Last week, Yamaraashi-chan and I went shopping for clothes. She's short on shorts, and I am still looking for an appropriate summer blazer and shirts to go with.

Yamaraashi-chan, Lisakit and I hit the Capitol Hill second-hand store, Value Village, and I watched as Yamaraashi-chan found a few shirts she wanted to try on, but no shorts that I wouldn't veto. We did try on a few pairs of silly glasses that were there. I think she looked great in hers. Mine... I do aging queen really well, apparently.

I found a few shirts that I liked, but no slacks quite yet. A good day had by all.

Does anyone in the family sew well enough to shorten some pants? I have a terrible time finding shorts at thrift stores, but I've done okay with finding pants to make into shorts or skirts.
