Weird, geeky dreams.

I had three very odd dreams last night, and they were all architectural. The first was work-related, and was more a fly-through exercise about using Pinax directly rather than developing parallel to it. After a quick analysis of the code this morning, the parallel development will continue. It's a trade-off between upgrading the entire system to Django 1.2, and developing within the 1.1 framework with the tools we already have.
The second real-world architectural. A few weeks ago, a friend of mine who's a very big woman, complained to me that she loved being flogged, but couldn't stand long against an A-frame, couldn't kneel comfortably, and most other positions made it difficult for her top to aim accurately.
My brain last night said, "Why don't you cut out the bottom part of the A-frame and marry it with one of those Swedish ergonomic chairs that were so popular back in the 70s? That way, her weight will be distributed in an even fashion across a sitting surface, she'll be left-right stabilized, and still make a tempting target with a fully exposed back." Years ago I had a Varier flat-rail chair, and I loved the thing, but the upholstery wore out. The vision was kinda vague on how the chair would fit into the A-frame, but it sounds like a viable project. Unfortunately, I have neither the time nor the room right now for another project, and if I was going to do a woodworking project, this would be way second on my list, after the MAME cabinet I've wanted to make.
The third was Yet Another Software Project, this one mostly in Javascript with limited server-side development. And I'm keeping it to myself.
This is my first full day on decaf.
