I do the same thing with mine--multiple calendars up for multiple family members, plus one for childcare arrangements, and a separate one for my work stuff so it stands out in a different color too. I was going to say "Thank God for Google Calendar", but that's silly. In fact, I think I'm just going to start saying "Thank Google".
