True, it's as obvious as a kick in the pants that the visual style has been upgraded in line with modern capabilities. Still it looks to me like a homage to the original - a derivative.

I think that some of the notions in the original turned out to be a bit corny when compared with the way technology has actually developed, but focusing too hard on that carries a risk of missing the point of what made Tron great.

I'm really excited about the prospect of seeing this movie at Imax.
