Life, the Weekend Edition
Jun. 8th, 2009 07:44 pmIt has been... a week. After angsting and anguishing about ${ETHICS_VIOLATION} and finally reaching an agreement with them that I would not be a good candidate, I received another phone call from another company. They needed a UX Developer/Designer who would help them fix their terrible website. Googling for them I discover that they too qualify as being of ${DUBIOUS_ETHICS} too, which makes me wonder why they, too, are offering so damn much money.
What's even worse, and here's giving away the story, is that ${DUBIOUS_ETHICS} need this person, whoever he is, to punch up their website or they're doomed by the onrushing bulldozer that is Facebook. Maybe I ought not to be that person.
In other news, an old antagonist, apparently with too much time on her hands, has made a serious miscalculation.
We did, finally, get all the crap with the insurers worked out. So we're insured. At least for June. Huzzah.
The weekend was a little better. I spent most of Saturday at home, blessed be, and Sunday I spent running around. Yamaraashi-chan went out with a friend roller-skating, and Kouryou-chan, Omaha and I then drove up to the University district to attend a brief wake, and then I hurtled the circuit backwards to drop Omaha and Kouryou-chan back home and then hurtle down to the skating rink to pick up Yamaraashi-chan and, oh by the way, her friend, whose ride had gotten stuck somewhere.
It was mostly leftovers for dinner. Omaha has been very stressy recently, but I'm okay.
