Guts!
Omaha, Kouryou-chan and I went to see the Lucy exhibit (the Australopithicus afarensis one, not the Lucille Ball one) at the Pacific Science Center last night. The woman at the turnstile warned us that this was our last chance to use the bathroom before the exhibit, and duly warned, we all went off to our respective bathrooms.

I was not aware that even the bathroom was set aside as a "learning experience," and I have to admit that I was impressed with the openness and straightforwardness of the display. Of course, this is painfully liberal Seattle, but still. Along with cartoon displays proclaiming that "some societies believe drinking pee is good for you, and it won't make you sick because healthy urine is not a home for bacteria!" and "In Louis XVI'ths time, It was considered an honor to speak with the king when he was on his throne!" there were illustrations (all in a style similar to the photograph) showing how a (yes, packed) colon worked via peristalsis, and how many gallons of urine you probably made during your lifetime.

I was duly impressed by it all. And the unabashed use of the term "butthole" just charmed me.
