It's very flexible. I usually chop up veggies of my choice and put them together in a container. I also tend to use cream of mushroom soup, but your mileage will vary. Also, don't be afraid to use a quarter cup of rice in the mix, and double the liquid.
If you don't use a ready-made foil bag, use heavy-duty foil, and make sure to double up the bag created. That will prevent any leakage. :)
