Help me find a quote attribution

Oh, mighty LJ Minds, I have a quote stuck in my head and I need an attribution for it. My google-fu has failed me and so I turn to you. Who was it who said,

Sodomy in middle age is noteable mostly for its difficulties and its torments.

I thought it was Oscar Wilde, but I'm not finding anything in collections of Wilde quotes that verifies my memory.
